What to see in three days on Lake Garda
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy (with a surface area of 370 square kilometres and a depth of 346 meters), particularly appreciated by tourists for its temperate climate and its postcard landscape.
Here below you will find the ideal itinerary for spending 3 days in Lake Garda, dedicated to relax, culture and good food.
DAY 1
The journey on Lake Garda can only start from Sirmione, one of the most beautiful towns in the area. It is located in the south part of the lake and it is particularly famous for its Scaliger Castle and the Caves of Catullus, the remains of an ancient Roman villa. After visiting the village, continue your journey by taking a few moments of relax, sunbathing on the most beautiful beach in the area: Jamaica Beach.
DAY 2
After visiting Sirmione, we recommend making a stop in Lazise, a small village with an enchanting landscape, a variety of beaches and a nice medieval old town. Then continue north and admire the beauty of the villages on the Veronese side, such as Bardolino. Walking along the lake, do not miss the breathtaking sunset, or the opportunity to take a guided hike to other stunning locations around it, including Desenzano del Garda.
DAY 3
We dedicate our last day to the discovery of Malcesine, also known as "The pearl of the lake". After walking through the old town, don't miss its Scaligero castle, symbol of the town, which offers breathtaking views of the lake.
Finally we recommend enjoying a tasty happy hour in one of the many bars of the local nightlife at the marina.
