The Dubai Marina district is one of the most active areas of Dubai, thanks to its marina, which is the largest in the world, and its magnificent beach called The Beach. It is a district among the most appreciated by tourists and is an artificial canal town overlooking the Persian Gulf. Dubai Marina offers a beach, a pedestrian promenade framed by palm trees, shops, boutiques, restaurants, and is surrounded by modern skyscrapers with varied shapes. At night they color the city with bright lights. The Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire city, equipped with all comforts. Behind it, there are buildings such as the Jumeirah Beach Residence, the Hilton Hotel, and the spectacular Cayan Tower. The beach has a view of the island of Palm Jumeirah and the iconic Hotel Atlantis. Many hotels overlook the beach and all of them have a portion of it reserved for guests, while the rest is divided into a free public part and an equipped part. The free part is well maintained and accessible to everyone but it is forbidden to plant umbrellas. Dubai Marina is one of the few areas of Dubai that can be accessed on foot, but transport is highly developed.
