Zambujeira do Mar: between cliffs and beautiful beaches
Today we move to the south of Portugal, in the Alentejo, where beaches and cliffs constitute the natural expansion of the western coast of the Algarve. The coast is mostly rocky, but many are the sandy beaches, enriched by rocks and islets not far from the coast. In the heart of this region, we find a terrace on the ocean, a quiet place, which has kept the old traditions. Zambujeira do Mar, located in the Sudoeste Alentejano Natural Park, is perched on a cliff suspended over the sea and surrounded by beautiful beaches among the most fascinating and less known in Portugal.
Despite being a small village, Zambujeira do Mar has a lot to offer: untouched nature, incredible beaches and crystal clear sea are accompanied by exceptional traditional food and summer music festivals.
Many paths lead to the most beautiful and secret beaches in the area, surrounded by cliffs and golden sand, a spectacle for your eyes! We particularly recommend: Praia de Monte Clergio, Praia de Nossa Senhora and Praia das Adegas along with many others.
You just have to discover them!
