Praia de la Balança: wild but cosy
The Algarve, in the south of Portugal, is a unique place in the world thanks to its 150 kilometers of coastline overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The region is a balance of nature and culture and is one of the most loved destinations in all of Europe. One of the most beautiful beaches of the place is Praia de la Balança. Also known as Praia Grande, it is a small beach with a free entrance, shaped like a shell. It is accessible either by boat or through a path in the beach's vertical cliffs. Although the access is made a little bit difficult by the rocks, they create a forest unique in the world. The beach is both wild and welcoming, with calm water and golden sand. Its characteristics make it perfect for swimming and other activities such as surfing, paddling, diving, and kayaking.
